The simple point I'm making is that the folks that support the war, and wouldn't dream of fighting in it, are hypocritical at best. If's it's someone else life at risk then Iraq is a great war to defend the homeland. But if the homeland is in such grave danger, I would think most of us would be prepared to defend her. Reinstating the draft for, say, 25% of the troops involved would be a way to keep people honest with themselves. That way either you or your kids could have the "honor" of participating.

And I don't care if you are a first generation immigrant or your ancestors came over on the Mayflower. It applies to us all.
