Thanks for the informative web sites, but I don't put much stock in the CBO's estimates. Also the statement the possible deficit of $500 billion is misleading because,, compared to the GDP, which is the normal manner of rating the deficit, it is only 4.5%, far below many other years, and very low in constant dollars. I agree with you on the spending, but I think it was allowed, or pushed, to re-invigorate the economy, and also for political purposes. I think, in the long run, the steps President Bush has taken will make for a very strong
economy in the future, exceeding all others in the past.
