He was allegedly HIV positive, which is only a risk factor if the good Dr. cuts himself and bleeds on the patient.
AIDS is a disease, which results from being exposed to HIV.

This case has nothing to do with our medical system per se, but the requirement of Drs. to disclose that they've a communicable disease. How do you know that none of your Drs. are HIV positive?

I'm proud to live in a nation that has universal healthcare coverage, where survival is not dependent on the size of your bank balance or credit card limits.
