Well, it's true that most of the time I deliberately don't engage your questions as they are posed. It may be your job to ask me questions but it's not my job to answer them. ;^)

No, it's yours to distort and evade them. This makes its own sort of declaration.

And it makes your posts persuasive only to those not capable of detecting the maneuver. In that sense, it's a counter-productive strategy, in venues in which the evasions and distortions are liable to be detected by a significant number of participants in the discussion.

Of course if there's no ethic against that species of argumentation among your "constituency," that won't matter to you.
