Clark Receives Endorsement Of Former Navy Secretary John Dalton
Former Secretary of the Navy John Dalton endorsed Wesley Clark Friday afternoon in New Hampshire. Dalton served as Navy Secretary from 1993 until 1998 under the Clinton administration.
"It is time for a leader of vision, depth and compassion to deal with our nation's defense policy, and I am proud to support Wes Clark," said John Dalton. "From base closure questions to the vast issues of war and peace, we can trust in Wes Clark's experience and judgment. As Secretary of the Navy, I observed him during several of his commands, including his tenure as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO. I can attest that he has always served with the utmost skill, character and knowledge of international events."
Dalton joined the growing list of endorsement for Clark this week that included Dr. Mary Frances Berry, Chair of the United States Commission on Civil Rights which investigated voting rights violations in the 2000 presidential election in Florida, Congressman Martin Frost (D-TX), a leading Democrat on national security policy and fiscal responsibility, and former Kentucky Attorney General Ben Chandler, who is currently running for Congress in a February special election, and Madonna who is urging her tens of millions of fans to volunteer and contribute to the Clark campaign.
