I didn't see a reason for him to get in the middle without researching the facts. A politician however would take the situation in his own hands, define who a deserter is and say that he does not know of Bush deserting in a way that would fit the definition. He did not do that.

without researching it??? That is what his staff is for, he also made a comment that he heard of similar comments like this before. I wonder if he has ever read or heard about comments that have been written about him? He should taken the high road and have been prepared and provided an answer that was intended to surppress things un-proven internet statements about Bush and at the same time could help his own rumors out they.

a.k.a. he wasn't prepared and doubt he impressed many.

I also wonder if his ego would allow him to take the #2 position on a Democratic ticket or if anbyone would really want him?
