The implication of that- -that the US should unilaterally disarm- -is quite possibly the stupidest proposal I have seen in several decades. Do you think all those Russian nuclear warheads just evaporated in 1989? Or that the Russian fleet ballistic missile submarines all sank?
The Russians still posses at least 3,000 nuclear warheads.

The US has been referred to as "the sole remaining superpower". If YOUR idea is implemented, RUSSIA becomes "the sole remaining superpower".
