all Saddam needed to do was to provide conclusive evidence of this How? Iraq did parade the inspectors out to the toxic waste dump where they claimed to have poured all the stuff. What else could they do? there was nothing else to show as the administration well knew. Removal of Saddam's regime was not based solely on stockpiles of WMD's. That was the only reason given for the rush - job. Any other reason that has been advanced could have waited for the information to be gathered and if necessary a coalition to be formed. Mushroom clouds! That was the reason cited, not Saddams bad temper or personal hygene. The only deadline for this war was midterm elections, a sorry reason for thousands of deaths. Tp
