The 'war' was wrong because: Bush's clan lied to the American people and the world about the reasons for going to war. Maybe there was some reason to believe that some weapons still existed but little evidence, other than lack of proof of destruction. It was either internal stupidity or figuring the American people were too stupid to figure it out that led to this lie. So, that is not new - American people have been lied to before because out leaders thought they knew best and democracy be damned so just business as usual for the military industrial complex inspired Bush administration.

The other problem is that while Bush claims a 'collation of the willing' nobody else is willing to foot the $200 billion bill except the U.S. But what's a few hundred extra billion when the name of the game is spend $500 billion in deficits to get re-elected? And over a trillion in deficits in just three years. What ever happened to the republican effort to get a balanced budget amendment to the constitution? Strange that whatever party gets into office with majority control the spending zooms. Better to have one party control the house, one a slight majority in the Senate and also the Presidency.

Let's just admit it, this is a game of winners and losers. Bush's brand of Republicans (big business, military industrial) are in power and the wealth is being grabbed. If the DEMS won both houses and the presidency no doubt we'd have just as high of deficits but the money would be spent with the middle class and welfare programs. At least the lies would tend to be about B.Y. in the oval office rather than bombs and needs for attach submarines and sending men to wonder at red rocks on Mars. Heck, we can't even make a helicopter fly without crashing here on earth, the last thing we need to spend another trillion on is sending men to Mars. Spend it on basic science, building America into a greater powerhouse of technology, and educating citizens to compete effectively.

I love Republicans, the good down to earth business minded, conservative spending type - just not that idiot Bush's ruinous, lie on the big issues variety.
