Nadine, what about the ones which were buried, as seen on TV recently? Anyway, how do you know the aircraft were sent to Iran by Saddam? I suppose the same intelligence agencies who discovered WMD have the facts. If they were, it's not really surprising that he didn't get them back given the horrific conflict with Iran. Maybe it was a bunch of Iraqi pilots defecting, or at least fleeing to relative safety. A LOT of people were trying to get out of Saddam's clutches. The undisbanded USA Office of Disinformation should be able to give us the actual facts.

Similarly, the idea that Saddam would export his Weapons of Mass Destruction to Iran seems a stretch of the imagination. I wonder if it's illegal in Germany to be a WMD denier?

It's so funny how the USA rulers now talk about plans to have programmes for WMDs, rather than actual weapons. Scott Ritter was right. Bush's State of the Nation speech was funny in that regard. Saddam is suspected of dreaming about plans to create programmes for WMDs. Okay, it would have take him longer than 45 minutes to launch those dreams, or the plans he dreamed about, and maybe as much as a day to turn the dreams to plans and then programmes, which could have been launched first thing next morning by email to the USA and London.
