Been gone...surprised this site is still alive..

Been getting reacquainted with a 25 year-old grandson..

He's out of Texas prisons for drug conviction..

Something he told me re-affirmed my convictions about USA..

He guaranteed me that he'd never go back..

Then, he explained, for 3 years he slept on a steel bench..

If he'd slept in a bunk he would have been raped..

And, I used to be a screamin' eagle..

Glad I've got my gold eagles to remember the USA..
