Even the scare of this affects a place like Waikiki. SARS dropped tourism drastically. We had a big visitor today. I mopeded over to the Aloha Tower to take some pictures of the QEII. What a monster! 70,327 tons and 963 feet long with a top speed of 32.5 knots. It went down the "double steamship" pier from right at the front to an overhang at the back of the pier. I don't know how they got it in the harbor. This one has a "North Atlantic" hull. I think the new one is built on the same type of hull but with the "Hotel" superstucture we see on all the Caribbean Cruise ships. BTW, welcome aboard, Henry!
