One thing that has become very apparent with this intense press coverage of Democrat Primary is that WashDC is a company town, where the impenetrable line of lobbyists have insulated both congress & national press from average American attitudes. No one pays attention to the latter group until election time. The revolving door is not solely for lobbyists--the network/cable reporters use that door as well & DC has become just one self-protective entity that rarely focuses on the multi-millions living beyond the beltway. Finally, the voters views are being aired & Bush Adm will be shocked to hear how the real but ignored owners of the country actually feel.
