the entire pretext for the war was one massive lie.

Both in interviews and in the graffiti scrawled on the sides of their tanks and Humvees, the troops thought they were delivering payback for 9-11. With Bush having admitted there was no connection and with Halliburton paying fines for war profiteering, they now know differently - plus they see who is paying the price. This can't be good.
