LOL. OK Here goes. I have an IIyama monitor, not sure who Dell uses.

On your monitor there should be some controls for adjusting the screen. You need to change the "H-size" and the "V-size" so your screen is filled.

If you don't know how to access the controls, or use them, wait for a following message from a poster who has a Dell Monitor.
