..but it is logical I didn't think so and tried to explain why. ..borrowed nukes.. Can't think of any examples of anyone "borrowing" nukes. Hey, can I borrow a nuke for the weekend? Seriously, I think nuclear weapons are not something that get loaned to anybody. ..and I admit it is strictly speculation, Thank you. but anyone who thinks Israel is our "friend" in the sense that most people use the term is sadly mistaken. No nations have friends in the sense most people use the term. there is also a reason that the "shores of Tripoli" is in the Marine Anthem. This whole region has been a tribal cesspool for most of historical memory for the U.S. That is true. Our first commission of troops abroad was in the Mid East. And if Israel had existed, people would be blaiming the Barbary pirate problem on them. My recommendation is that we start the long process of removing our dependency upon the area. That would mean abandoning oil use. One can dream of this. But its just not gonna happen till world resources get much more depleted and the price skyrockets.
