satan is a spiritual being. God is a spirit. 1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time. If we are loving one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us, Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15
...for there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we exist through Him. (1 Corinthians 8:6)
You have yet to give me chapter and verse that says satan is a man. I will assume you have none.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. --1 Corinthians 2:14
This is really funny Brent. You accuse me of not being able to discern that satan is a man because I have not the Holy Spirit. The fact that nowhere in scripture does it say satan is a flesh and bone man means nothing to you. It must be spiritually discerned. No need for scriptural backing. And anyone who disagrees with you is just not as spiritually enlightened as you. That's convenient.
if a lamb in the old testament can typify Christ, how hard is it for you to comprehend that a wicked ruler of this world (pharaoh, king of assyria, prince of tyrus, etc.) can typify satan?
There is no precedent for your case Brent. Christ was slain as a sacrifice for our sins before the foundation of the world. Before the cross, animal blood was used. When satan is spoken of in the old testament, he is referred to as satan.
I will cease the discussion about satan being a spiritual being, but You have yet to give me your twist on this one:
John 8:44 “You are from your father the Devil, and the desires of your father you want to be doing. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he is speaking falsehood, out of his own he speaks, because he is a liar, and the father of it....
and
1 John 3:8 The one practicing sin is from the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this [reason] the Son of God was revealed, so that He should destroy the works of the Devil.(New Testament of the Analytical-Literal translation)
Now if satan was once perfect as you say, and fell from grace, then why did Jesus Christ say that satan was a murderer and sinner "from the beginning"?
That completely blows your "satan fell from grace doctrine".
