It seems to me that the Mark of the Beast will need to have some spiritual component to it. There is nothing intrinsically different in an electronic money system than a paper money system. A signature is a crude biometric identification system. If in the future you are required to deny Jesus as your Lord and Savior as a prerequisite to having your "id chip" installed then we are talking about the Mark of the Beast. Short of that, what we are discussing is merely a more efficient way of doing business. One that in principle is no different from what we have today.
