NASHUA, N.H.--Crowds still pack ballrooms and overflow areas at Howard Dean's rallies, fervent supporters shout "Give 'em hope, Howard!" and the one-time Democratic front-runner claims he is "catching up" in the first-in-the nation presidential primary race. Still, it is Dean--whose speeches evoke the optimism of the 1960s--who has in a rough week learned the truth of a lyric from Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are a-Changin' ": "The first ones now will later be last."
