Mr Bush was AWOL for over a year from his cushy National Guard job. An honorable discharge is not all that matters. If Mr Bush is honest and ethical then he owes the nation a detailed accounting of his activities during his unauthorized absence from duty. He must justify to the citizens why he was held to a different standard than the hundreds he's sent to die in preemptive foreign wars. Mr Bush's military records have been released via the Freedom of Information Act and make it apparent to anyone that reads them that he was AWOL. I heard Tom Brokaw say it on Tim Russert yesterday as well.
