Yes it is reasonable to judge God by human standards because all accounts say we are created in his image.

A baby is created in my image.

But it has no basis for judging why I don't let it eat that box of rat poison, or why I have a needle stuck in its arm, or why, if it is a boy baby, I cut off part of its flesh from its most private part.

The gulf between the baby and me will eventually be, at least partially bridged, because it can grow up into a man.

But until we grow up into Gods, we are no more capable of understading, and no more justified in judging, God than the baby is its parent.

That's just the way it is.
