Most religious people are NOT right-wingers. The right-wing religious zealots are in many ways un-Chrstian. hey have allied themselves with the very forces which deprive the poor, rape the environment and reward the rich. Those are all values Jesus would object to. Bush's own Methodist church strongly objects to his policies, for instance. My family is very christian but there are two sides to it, srong liberal Christianity (marching with Martin Luther King in the 60's, for tolerance) versus Born Again right-wing (wanting a crusade against Islam, for intolerance).
