I am not talking about the threat posed by Saddam, I am talking about the inevitable turmoil if he fell. We are now trying to deal with that, and keep it from exploding......The deficits are worth it they eventually lead to greater security, and I see no evidence of the destruction of civil rights. Mostly, we are simply going back to normal police and intelligence procedures that were curtailed in the mid- 70s, but are a matter of judgement, not fundamental rights........
