Jlallen, I wonder about your often repeated references to your service. I remember a while back some poster defended you as a person who had been in combat and wounded. You indicated that those that had been there didn't talk much about it, but you didn't deny it and you sure reference your service often. Just doing the math, it seems unlikely that your service was combat related. You recently pointed out that you have been an attorney for something like 17-18 years. That takes us back to the mid to late 1980s. I can't think of any significant action that took place before the Gulf war and after Vietnam and, before the Iraqi occupation, I don't know of any attorneys that were required to serve up where the bullets were flying. I don't know about the rest of your ancestors, but what high price were you required to actually risk? I'm not saying you're implying something that isn't accurate, but I am saying that it seems unlikely. Of course, as you state, you don't see any problems with the "service record" of our like-to-put-on-the-uniform president George W. Bush either, do you?
