The talking heads keep emphasizing how important the independent vote can be in last few hours. They picked McCain over GW in NH, which triggered Bush campaign use of extreme politics with mud slinging telephone calls in the south.
Today McCain has to force himself to appear on stage with GWB in NH. Politics often forces the major players to almost hold their nose while they do what the 2-party system insists must be done. That's why we need a 3rd alternative for those of us not on either extreme of the political spectrum.
