I liked the instructions to duct tape yourself in a closet. I did the calculations (I worked for a SCUBA company at one point) and for the air that they had in the FEMA guide, you'd suffocate yourself quite shortly. I guess the plan was to "clean up the gene pool" by suffocating people through their own actions. Cynical, but effective. If you had the brains to check the recommendations, you would survive. Very Darwinian.

Most likely it was just typical government incompetence and not a well-laid plan to asphyxiate the lesser humans. But the difference in impact would be .... what? Sometimes it doesn't matter if an act has malice - you're just as dead.
