American Bio Medica says CEO removed from post
Thursday January 22, 5:01 pm ET

LOS ANGELES, Jan 22 (Reuters) - American Bio Medica Corp. (NasdaqSC:ABMC - News), a biotechnology company, on Thursday said it had removed its chief executive as part of a shake-up intended to meet earnings targets for the current quarter and all of 2004.
In a statement, Kinderhook, New York-based American Bio Medica said Donal Carroll, who had been CEO since October, had been "removed" from his executive position but would remain on the board of directors. Carroll was not immediately available for comment.

"Immediate action was necessary to insure our objective of continued sales and earnings growth in this quarter as well as the remainder of 2004," said Edmund Jaskiewicz, president and a member of the executive committee of the board.
