Mr Cheney remained implacably opposed to the strategy even after George W. Bush, US president, addressed the UN on the importance of a multilateralist approach, according to a new biography of Mr Blair.

Gee whiz... and so many people actually thought that Dick Cheney was the guy running the White House, acting as our "shadow president"..

I bet you're amazed that Bush ignored Cheney's advice and listened to Blair instead..
