Too bad it was politically motivated and nothing more -- with, naturally, Prescott Bush making even more money on the "phenomenon." And I think you're absolutely right about the more intelligent choosing not to bring children into this world/country. Although I've seen many in my boomer demographic doing so for the past 25 years. Those Leave It to Beaver bomb shelters/practices in the halls of the elementary schools left impressions...which were compounded by the Republicans whenever they ruled from ultimate seat of power in the White House from then on. Corporations have been very very tough on my generation -- from the get go when many of us graduated college in the '70s. Seems to be getting much, much worse under Republican "leadership."
