If the Dems get my vote this time it will be because they have avoided wallowing in "politically correct" extremely liberal issues & have focused on the major problems facing all Americans at this time including job outsourcing, border security, immigration policy. So far, none of the Dem candidates have mentioned the illegal problem. If their candidate intends to simply continue Bush's outrageous policy of non-enforcement of the law, my only recourse is to not vote at all as a protest. Hope that won't happen.

I just discovered the gravity of Pres Bush's opposition on immigration policy within the core of his conservative voter base. Phyllis Schlafly(Mrs. Republican conservative) just
castigated GW Bush's immigration policy. The program airs on C-span2, entitled "Conservative Policy Action Conference on Immigration Policy." The entire room was filled with conservatives. Only person defending Bush's policy was a representative of the Cato Institute who parroted the usual "matching a willing worker with a willing employer" & "they will do only the jobs American workers refuse to do." Phyllis Schlafly was adamant that the USA is turning into nothing but a "hiring hall for the world" due to pressure on Bush Adm from multinational corporations. She said Americans will do any job that's offered for a fair wage. Therein lies the crux of the matter--corporations want to fill jobs in USA with 3rd world workers willing to work for peanuts. She said the jobs will be offered on the internet & Pres Bush proposal will enable their entry into country to fill the jobs at very low wages, which in turn will drag down the entire national wage scale. Both Schlafly & Michelle Malkin(author "Invasion") said that the vast majority of Americans want the immigration law enforced & Bush Adm, Commerce Dept & Immigration service are ignoring their wishes. They said liberal judges have turned immigration laws into a sham pick up & release policy.

Why does Bush Adm listen to the greedy corps on this one? This issue alone will cause him to lose upcoming election.
