I don't know if this is the fellow that you are referring to Allen,, His patent actually has predates Ovonics. In the court document they say by a couple of years. Kumar applied for his patent in 1981 it was granted in Jan 1986, Ovonics patent was granted in Nov. 1986. If you read the document a tremendous amount turns upon the word amorphous and just how much of a crystal structure is present within this amorphous material.
