So Saddam was wrong about WMD! Megolomania, incompetence and lies. Or Who Lost Iraq? Apparently the Unquestioned leader was misled. Selective perception, denial, yes men, failure to properly evaluate information.. all contributed.. The flaws of investing too much power in one man's hands. A good argument for checks and balances and a free unfettered press. Honest people should not fear government retribution for telling the truth. Quite a bit of bad luck for the KIA, and wounded in Iraq. Quite a bit of bad luck that both Saddam and President Bush faced the same dynamic and both failed to make the right call.
