Bill re: "While Kerry was hurling his duplicate medals on the capital steps and joined Jane Fonda in giving aid to our enemy, Bush was practicing daring air maneuvers in his fighter jet. Having received his wings as a fighter pilot, Bush was in the service three times as long as Kerry."

I think you've hit the nail right on the head. It's too bad that others don't recognize that it took real courage to shove aside some other national guardsman instead of going to Vietnam. People forget that it was dangerous at home too. Look at how many people died in drunken driving car wrecks or, more to the point, from drug overdoses. Then too, there were the risks of sexually transmitted diseases. Georg Jr. had the courage to take on all those risks and he did it selflessly; working in anonymity. In fact he went so far as to appear to disappear. That's selfless sacrifice for his country. The kind of sacrifice they don't give medals for and no one stands up and praises you for, but nonetheless, the kind of sacrifice that, with a lot of money, gives one the opportunity to become the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Thanks to people like you with the values you hold, let it never be said that a man can't come from the folds of luxury, avoid serving his country in a time of war when millions of other did, fail at virtually everything he did and require the bailout of those that hope to benefit from his access to the public's funds, and still become president of the U.S of A.

What makes his "career" even more remarkable is that forgetting or even overlooking his total lack of demonstrated courage or character, he did all of this while consistently demonstrating through testing and performance that he was significantly LESS qualified than the people he leapfrogged. All of this shows, of course, that affirmative action programs for the privileged and wealthy do, if fact, work. The fact that little minds and little people like yourself are willing to carry the flag of those that use you and suck you dry is what makes this country whatever it is that this country is today. The fact that those same people laugh at you just confirms the nobility of your dutiful worship.

Yes Bill, my hat is off to you, if I was wearing one, which I'm not, and if I meant it, which I don't. Forgive me Bill, but I can't help laughing at you too. Hey, maybe it's because I've got a few bucks of my own. Good luck Pom Pom.
