Sen McCain said it's impossible to initially establish in Iraq a "flawless" democracy but the seeds must be firmly sown before withdrawal of U.S. troops. My opinion is that Democrats are less likely to remain committed to that end if they win White House. They'll assume it's a mandate to immediately pullout. My concern is that waiting 4 more yrs to replace staunch conservatives(better at defense) with Dems(better at domestic programs) might cause such destruction of American middle class that we will no longer be capable of effective governmental change. The upcoming national debate on that issue is necessary & should be enlightening.
