I agree with respect to inland fish farming, but not with respect to the open ocean.

For agriculture to be successful, the natural ecosystem must first be destroyed (i.e., the land cleared and plowed). That's okay, because there is plenty of uncleared land left over.

But I don't think you can successfully "clear" a piece of the ocean. The world's oceans are all one, fish and marine mammals are not confined to a little corner of it, in the natural course of events they travel hundreds or thousands of miles in their lives; some may travel a thousand miles just to breed. So I think "clearing" a piece of the ocean may destroy the entire thing, in due time.
