You're forgetting payroll taxes. Working people get those taken out upfront. The rich don't. Big difference. Another big difference is the rich being able to incorporate and write off everything from travel to entertainment to research, in other words everything but the dog food.

Defending the very rich is a losing argument especially when Bush's tax cuts especially benefit the IDLE rich. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates know Bush is unfair to average people. They don't even want his windfall tax cuts. As McCain says, this administration is corrupt. Government by the rich for the rich and their motto must be "greed is good". Or "let them eat cake".
