Name a few states outside of the south that you expect Bush to carry in 04, I am curious. I don't think Bush will even carry the carolinas, too much job loss. Ohio, Indiana, forget it, massive job loss same story. West coast, no way for a whole host of reasons mostly the war. Nevada, NM, Arizona- Bush's environmental record, anybody but Bush country there. Northeast- anti Bush territory. Colorado, more massive job loss. What does that leave? Texas and Alabama? Bush can't win with that.

You know, when you are president you need to be aware of the decisions you make and whether you are ***really*** reflecting the views of your constituency or not, irrespective of your campaign contributors. Did Bush actually have a mandate to gut the environmental legislation that has stood for decades in this country? NO. What about that PBA bill with no provision for life of mother, did Bush have a mandate for that? NO. How about blowing up the UN, is that what people wanted- take a poll but I say NO. This is irrespective of the Iraq mess and economy, these are just peripheral issues that did nothing for Bush except piss off a bunch of people.
