I like David Gergen and all, but after listening to a number of political advisors on NPR and other stations lately I am convinced they are getting incorrect information from the polls and reacting to the wrong issues. In this case I happen to agree with Gergen, but a lot of these pundits are predicting a Bush win and I say no way. Also, the economy is much worse for average americans than the numbers suggest and Bush will suffer for that dearly even in his stronghold the south, even though, for the most part southerners supported the war effort. The black community is really struggling for example.

These screwed up statistics especially the GDP really tossed a bone to Bush and gave the Bush people a false sense of security. Hopefully they stay in the dark for the next 9 mos but after somebody else wins these numbers get reworked.
