And no President would ever order their use. If we were hit with a Nuke, we would respond conventionally. That is just reality. We are kidding ourselves if we think we would use them.

If we are to respond conventionally with any significance it will take a few years while we build up our armed forces. We simply do not have the forces to open another front... anywhere.

Once a nuclear battlefield is opened all rules of engagement and attack methodology will change. Consolidating forces for a conventional attack will not be done...at least not the way we do it now.

One of the keys to forward deployment of Infantry and armor is support. We barely have the air assets to support the current deployment. In some locations we don't have the air assets needed.

It matters little how accurate our current bombs are if we cannot deliver them or if we cannot put feet on the ground to identify proper targets.
