Ted Re..First, his criticisms were anti Bush and not anti US.
And to make sure they were seen that way, those criticisms should have been presented to his constituents, not to a bunch of strangers in a hostile environment.
Secondly, the Congressman's responsibility is to his constituents as well as his country.
Absolutely, so why was this idiot giving encouragement to an enemy, who could kill some of his constituents.
Thirdly, Congress is supposed to check [in the system of checks and balances]the presidency and that's what he was doing.
LOL Get real. Now just how could he be doing that, in the middle of a foreign country? He normally would be doing that in congress, introducing, voting for or against bills.
Like many Americans, you seem to think that we may disagree with what the president does but in the end, its all good. WRONG!
Not at all. There is some good and wrong in every president. On this board, it seems that everything whichever president does, is either all good, or bad, depending upon your affiliation. We should be arguing the policy, not the man.
That was the attitude of some during the McCarthy Era. IMO that was wrong.......very wrong! When it comes to one's country there is no such thing as being discreet.
Did you ever think that a lot of the criticisms you are getting, Traitor etc. are precisely because of your lack of discretion. There is often a right way and a wrong way to say things. You would be be far, more believeable, and could get your point across far better, it you practiced discretion more often.
We are lucky as hell to have the gov't we have..........
Then, I assume GW can count on your vote in Nov.
You think I was mad before he was elected. Well, I've got news for you, you ain't seen nothing yet. LOL!
You mean you could get worse. Now that is a scary thought.
PS The other day you talked to Tench about IVAN. Here is a pertinent article; and you and Tench might want to take it to heart.
