High tax rates have not helped any of the European
countries.

I find the Europeans have a very nice lifestyle without nearly the stress problems of Americans.

I don't know about "nice lifestyles", except that
the Europeans take a lot of vacations and are
periodically on strike. The structure of the
countries is basically socialist. When it comes
time for health care, they get the shaft.

Government should not be the provider of
health care, IMO.

The European countries have been around
for centuries but have never
reached the level of the USA
in wealth, achievement, etc.

There's a reason for that.

For my part, I prefer it here, stress and all.
I'm a type A personality anyway, so I
can't escape it.<G>
