Tele-Find to provide data to New England city
  2004-01-28 15:24 ET - News Release
  Mr. Russ Gahan reports
Through an information management services agreement with a private Ontario corporation, Tele-Find Technologies will begin providing its medical and prescription data services to over 11,000 municipal employees, spouses' dependants and retirees of one of New England's largest cities, beginning in March, 2004. When fully implemented, this unique comprehensive program will enable the city to realize significant long-term cost savings while at the same time ensuring patient safety and awareness through employee education, clinical safety measures and an integrated DUR (drug-usage review) with a U.S-based pharmacy benefit manager.
The private Ontario corporation is in discussions with a number of other municipalities, states, corporations and associations, and Tele-Find Technologies is optimistic that additional service agreements are pending. The Ontario corporation's overall effort (in association with Tele-Find) has been to create the type of all-encompassing Canadian prescription drug fulfilment program that the FDA could adopt as part of a pilot project and become the leader in the field of limited Canadian importation. The company and the Ontario corporation have sought to assure safety, reliability and credibility, consulting with Canadian health officials and retaining a major U.S law firm for advisement. |
