I agree that we are fortunate that he was obstinate. I am not sure I would be so harsh about Kay, who has been a stand up guy in congressional testimony, but I myself subscribe to the thesis that they were carted over the border, not that they had been eliminated in the mid- 90s. And I think you are right, the American people realized that Saddam was an implacable foe who would rise as soon as he was able to strike at us, and therefore who was intolerably dangerous in an environment of suicide bombers and demonstrably breachable security........
