There is never a guidance change at the "private meetings" hosted by a brokerage house.Such meetings always reconfirm the last guidance. Any guidance change has to be announced at a very public forum, preferably with a press release. All this is supposed to level the playing field. I have frequently been invited by brokers to attend such presentations, but have always declined to attend. I wonder why the brokerage houses even sponsor such events ? Probably to increase the comfort level of the investor and the financial analysts.
