Wrong. Dean lost working class voters to Kerry. The only voters he tied Kerry with were the gays and anti-war protesters. Dean got some union endorsements but most working people aren't buying him. He also fared very poorly amongst moderates who are the ones wyho decide elections. By 56% to 17% he lost to Kerry on the electability issue in his own backyard of NH.

The remaining hardcore Deanies are mainly anti-war protest types who backed Nader in 2000 and gays who admire Dean's strong pro-gay stance in Vermont. Of course both of those groups are a negative once the candidates leaves liberal New England or Washington State.
