The FED blinked today, which is what I was looking for. Amazing that a few words of FED-speak can force a major sell-off and raise the l-t rates....
I think they have come to the realization they took things to far....

In the statement accompanying its decision, the Fed didn't say, as it has after every meeting since August, that rates could remain low for "a considerable period." Instead, it said, "With inflation quite low and resource use slack, the [FOMC] believes that it can be patient in removing its policy accommodation." In other words, it can be slow to raise interest rates from their unusually low level.

Though it wasn't clear the Fed was hinting it would raise interest rates in the coming months, markets immediately after the announcement interpreted it that way. Bond prices plunged and yields, which move in the opposite direction to prices, jumped. The dollar rallied and stocks fell.
