Kerry is a top notch senator. His and McCain's CAFE standards bill last year would have saved the US more oil than is in all of Alaska but the Bushies derailed it. Kerry stopped them from drilling in ANWAR, prosecuted Iran-Contra and BCCI Bank and a lot more. The last bill he offered with Biden (which was of course rejected by the GOP) called for the rich to pay for the Iraq War by giving up 1/3 of their tax cuts. Kerry is one of the few in the Senate who is admired by all on both sides of the aisle. He and McCan make a great team, but Kerry has had to take off to campaign this past year. Besides, Bushies reject everything Kerry trieds to pass. What we need is Kerry as president, then the Bushies will have to do the right thing.
