If Kerry had fired his CM 5 days before Super Tuesday he'd have been in big trouble too. Fortunately he made the right decision months before the voting began so it gave the campaign time to be totally re-organized. Kerry had a rough 3-4 weeks after the firing but then everything started clicking. In 3-4 weeks the primary season will be all but over.

The firing of Trippi though should not cover up the real problem with the Dean campaign, and that is Dean himself. He had his chance. No one is buying his act anymore.
