Gore is a bozo. He could not take advantage of the Clinton prosperity and ride in on the wave. Bush Sr. did get into the WH riding the Reagan wave which was less intense than the Clinton wave. So to say Gore got the popularity vote when we had the Clinton prosperity to fall back on is simply ridiculous.
