Looks to me like the FED blinked first. Instead of forcing the ROW to lower rates, they have signaled that they may have to raise them instead. This is a huge difference, and lends credence to the view that inflation is just around the corner.

This obviously eases the threat of the Euro zone cutting rates further, and judging, on this days action, Canada will not be lowering her interest rates in the near future.

The fallout has yet to come, and we are only in the first inning.

Big question for me is the future of Gold in this environment of rising interest rates, rising inflation. Any opinions?
